Influenster | #VioletVoxBox Review

A little while back, I posted a review on my very first Influenster VoxBox featuring the Colgate Slimsoft brush. Now, it’s time to review my second box, the Violet Voxbox. It’s said to be inspired by fall florals, however I found no correlation. I don’t know about you, but I expected something violet in my box! Irregardless, below are my reviews and a few tips to go along with the products. I was sent these items complimentary for testing purposes by Influenster.

Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spa Masque | I absolutely loved this product. Grab a glass of wine and it made a great way to relax after a stressful day. What I found so wonderful about the masque was that it wasn’t just a packet full of gunk. The moist clay is infused into a natural bamboo fabric. All I had to do was dampen my face and press on the mask. The clay felt cooling even though it was drying to my face. I washed it off and my skin felt smooth and moisturized. It smelled surprisingly good, as well.

Goody Athletique Headband | You honestly can’t go wrong with a headband. This particular band is said to stay put and it was reversible. I wore my black and blue headband when cleaning my face, putting on makeup, and when I went to the gym. I didn’t notice it slipping at all during any occasion. I loved the fact that it is reversible and that the blue lined the sides on when flipped to black.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine | This is where I thought maybe the violet would come in. Nope. I received a yellowish-green polish entitled ‘Statemint’. It’s almost the color of split pea soup. At least that’s what I imagine that kind of soup would look like. I’m not a huge fan of bright-colored nails in the winter nor am I a fan of bright green or yellow nails.

My mother purchased Sally Hansen Triple Shine in ‘Slick Black’, so I thought I’d pair the two.  I painted all of my nails with the exception of my ring finger with the ‘Slick Black’ polish. Since it’s  a glittery transparent black,  an accent nail painted with the ‘Statemint’ polish looked cute and not halloween-y. ‘Statemint’ looked a lot better on than I expected. Most yellow or green polishes dry very clear, but this polish dried very creamy and opaque. both polishes dried very quickly which is a huge plus. I’m still undecided on the larger brush size.

SOYJOY Bar | I’m always a fan of healthy food on the go since I’m usually on the run. I received the Dark Chocolate Cherry SoyJoy bar and boy was it surprisingly delicious..eaten all at once. I made the mistake of digging a chocolate piece to try on its own. Yuck! As a whole, I thought the bar was tasty and it held off my hunger. I will definitely be trying out other flavors for when I need a snack.

Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo | As you may or may not know, it’s not the best thing for your hair to wash it every single day. So, I was excited to receive this product as I have been trying to wash my hair less. I currently use Tresemme’s dry shampoo. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo kicked Tresemme’s booty. If my hair started to look greasy, all I had to do was spray it with NYM and my hair was back to looking “so fresh and so clean”. With Tresemme, If I didn’t spray my hair before going to bed or before it started to look greasy, I couldn’t get my hair back to normal.

Overall, the Violet Voxbox included great products that I would go out and purchase. I’m still disappointed about the lack of violet and floral products though. 🙂
